Nestor Jaramillo, a senior from Cardinal Newman in Columbia and Chelsea Drennan, a junior at T.L. Hanna in Anderson, have been named the 2012 SCSoccer.com Players of the Year and headline the 13th annual Super XXII team.

Jaramillo played his freshman and sophomore seasons at White Knoll High School in Lexington, but transferred to the Midlands' catholic school, Cardinal Newman, for his final two years of high school. In 2011 Jaramillo led the Cardinals to the South Carolina Independent School Association's Class 3A State Championship and a 25-5 record. This past spring, the Wofford College signee tallied 80 points with 34 goals and 12 assists as the Cardinals finished 17-5 and advanced to the State Semifinals.

Drennan capped her junior campaign at T.L. Hanna High School by lifting the Class 4A State Championship trophy at Columbia's Memorial Stadium with a 2-0 victory vs. perennial power Wando. The Yellow Jackets posted a program best 27-2 record and rolled through the postseason by outscoring its foes 12-1. In her three year career at T.L. Hanna, the Yellow Jackets have notched an overall record of 62-10-4 and advanced to the Quarterfinals in 2010 and 2011 before capturing the 2012 state title.
