Criteria
Must have served as a high school coach for a minimum of 20 years;
On-field contributions:
State Championships
State Runner-Ups
Overall Record - Must have a winning overall record
Region Championships
Playoff Appearances
Coach of the Year Awards
All-Star Games, etc.
Continuous membership to SCHSSCA/SCACA;
Contributions to SCHSSCA:
Active participant
Office holder
Serving on Board of Directors or committees (All-State, North-South, etc.)
Support of events such as All-Star games, Winter Clinic, Summer Clinic, State Championships
Good standing in the community as well as the coaching community
No flagrant violation of eligibility rules
Promotes sportsmanship
Nominations can be made by:
Active Board of Directors member
Past President
Nomination Committee (to be determined)
A form to be completed and updated as needs be
Nominations will stay on file (and on the ballot) for at least 10 years
All Nomination Packets will be voted on by Past Presidents voting for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice
1st Place Votes = 5 points
2nd Place Votes = 3 points
3rd Place Votes = 1 point
Final vote to be conducted by the present serving Board of Directors. Their decision will be final. This measure is used to accept or decline the recommended vote of the Past Presidents.
It would be recommended the inaugural class have five members inducted. All following years, the class will be limited to no more than three inductees. We could have a year with no inductions.
Suggested Time Line
SCHSSCA Winter Clinic - nomination forms sent to nominating committees.
February - Nomination packets compiled and sent to voting presidents, with voting due by the first week of March.
April - Announcement of inductees.
June - Recognition of induction class as part of North-South Soccer Classic banquet.
