Retired Jersey #4 - Troy Lesesne (1998-2001)

Brookland-Cayce recognized 2001 alum Troy Lesesne in 2005 by retiring his Bearcat soccer jersey, #4, thus becoming the first player in program history to have his jersey retired. Lesesne was a standout at Brookland-Cayce from 1998-2001 and led the Bearcats to their first Lower State Championship his senior year. Troy, the son of Bill and Ellen Lesesne of West Columbia, is the school's all-time leading scorer with 285 points - 99 goals and 87 assists (all three career marks for BCHS).

Troy continued his soccer career at the College of Charleston under legendary Coach Ralph Lundy. He earned collegiate All-America honors and Southern Conference accolades in 2004 for the Cougars after leading CofC to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. Following his college career, Lesesne became the Bearcats' first alum to play professional soccer with a three-year stint with the Charleston Battery of the USL First Division under Coach Mike Anheuser and also with the Wilmington Hammerheads.

Lesesne is currently the assistant head coach for the College of Charleston men's soccer team.
